While no direct cause has been reported, some of the factors that increase the risk of Pancreatic cancer are smoking, long-standing Diabetes, chronic Pancreatitis, family history. A general risk factor for cancer is weakened immune system due to disease, surgery, medications or poor diet. Note: 6 years ago, having some kind of persistent pain and discomfort, my brother was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas. A month later he had surgery but it had already spread to the liver. They said he would likely not live more than a few months. We moved him to our house, got him the best private doctors we could find, but we could not help him. 11 weeks from the time he was diagnosed, he was gone, at age 51. Glen
This is one of the most deadly cancers because, usually, by the time you have symptoms, it's already spread beyond our ability to treat it. Signs and symptoms include yellowing of skin and eyes, pain on the abdomen and back, unexplained weight loss, loss of appetite and fatigue.
This cancer is difficult to diagnose because there are no symptoms in the early stages and because , when symptoms appear, they match other diseases. Depending on the stage and location of the cancer, surgery, chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy may be used. If the cancer has not spread beyond the pancreas, therapy can be successful, but, as stated earlier, it's very unlikely to find pancreatic cancer in the early stages. In later stages, often the therapy concentrates on the comfort of the patient.
If you've been diagnosed with a malignant Cancer, always retest and get a second opinion from another doctor. Once confirmed, work with your doctor to make sure nothing you do interferes with the medical treatment. Get the specific diagnosis in writing, including the name and stage of the Cancer. Search the National Cancer Institute and other websites to learn all that's being done for your cancer. Print relevant pages and make a list of specific questions for your doctor. Write down his answers and check them on the web. I know the doctor has a good education, but this is your health and your life. The actions to help prevent Cancer below can often be used in stronger doses to fight cancer, but check with your doctor.

Cancer is at best frightening, frustrating and painful...at worst, fatal. We both know there are no guaranteed cures or quick fixes, whether medicine, nutrition, herbs or anything else. Many illnesses are "incurable" from the medical standpoint. So far, that's usually the case with pancreas cancer. The good news is, complete healing is possible...including mind, body and spirit...from God. Even if He doesn't heal your body, if you connect with Him, now, He will keep you with Him, in total health, forever. When it's time, your family can join you. To connect or reconnect with God, go to Healing From God.
